For Yous Data - Completion Of The 2018 Excavations At Paphos-Toumballos Inwards Cyprus

The Department of Antiquities of Cyprus, Ministry of Transport, Communications too Works, has announced the completion of the 2018 excavations at Pafos-Toumballos. The excavations are conducted past times the archaeological mission of the University of Catania, co-directed past times Filippo too Elvia Giudice.

Based on its structure characteristics the wall seems to belong to the Early Christian period, or too thus the fifth century AD. It was excavated at a sum length of 11.6 metres, reaching the earthworks area’s limits (Fig. 3).

Two other walls (Fig. 4) that were excavated delimit 2 rooms of a newly discovered Early Christian house. The start room faint traces of ancient flooring comprised of compact beaten earth. Beneath this flooring fragments of amphorae, pocket-size cups too a pocket-size light were excavated.
