H5N1 14th century stone inscription has been discovered at Hagalamane hamlet inward Bhadravati taluk, Karnataka state, yesteryear R. Shejeshwara, Assistant Director of the Department of Archaeology, Heritage in addition to Museums.

The inscription, which is inward archaic Kannada, speaks of the valour of Jakka, a local warrior in addition to boy of Homachara Bhaira Gowda. Mr. Shejeshwara said it is a ‘Mastigallu’, installed to commemorate Jakki, married adult woman of Jakka, who committed self-immolation afterwards her hubby died piece fighting enemies.
